Hide and Seek – Now Available

October 21, 2006

Unlike her father, True’s escapades are strictly for the thrill of it, but she’s running on borrowed time. When she tries to return the necklace she successfully lifted from her boss’ safe, she runs out of luck.

Or into it, because the man she’s been fantasizing about has designs of his own, and when, instead of calling the police he suggests a game of Hide and Seek, she discovers there’s a far safer way to enjoy an adrenaline rush.

He brushed her hair to the side. “You’re taking a long time to think my offer over.” His voice rumbled across her neck. “Are you always this suspicious?”

True watched him from the corner of her eye, her mouth a breath away from his. “I’m a thief, what do you think?”

A lazy grin curved his lips. “I think you’re just going to have to trust me.”

A warm shiver curled up her backbone. The feel of him so close, so male, played havoc with her senses. Her next breath whispered in.

Noah leaned forward, his tempting mouth brushing her cheek. “What other choice do you have?”

True eased away from him. “This is your home. You have a distinct advantage.”

“I didn’t say the game would be fair. Besides, I doubt you came in here without being familiar with the mansion’s layout.”

“Point taken.” She felt his eyes bore into her back.

“Tick tock.”

She turned around, searched his green eyes for any sign he was screwing with her.

“Going once…” He grinned.

This was insane.

“Going twice…”

Noah grabbed her around the waist and hauled her into his arms. One hand cupped her neck, his mouth slanting across her in a wave of molten possession. His tongue teased her bottom lip, then slipped inside.

True gripped his shirt. Her nails raked the expensive material. Muscles bunched under her palms as his arms tightened their hold on her. He tipped her head back,
drawing the kiss out, the hot sweep of his tongue making her moan against his mouth.

His hands drifted lower, and he caressed her bottom. He coaxed her closer, his hard arousal rubbing her lower belly. Instinctively she rocked against him.

Noah withdrew, his eyes dark and hungry. “You get a ten second head start.”

Ignoring the nerve endings that trembled inside her, True cocked her head. “That’s it?”

“Ten, nine…”

Great excerpt. Playing hide and seek with a green eyed hunk like Noah would be a game I would love to play.
